Roman's 1:18-32 "The Sentence For Sin" Rev. Keith T. Reid

How could God allow billions of people to go to hell? That is a question that critics of Christianity love to ask to try to discredit God and our belief in Him. Most critics think that this is a “gotcha” question that can’t be reasonably answered and, unfortunately, too many Christians don’t have the ammunition to faithfully answer that question. However, to even ask that question is making some pretty big assumptions on the part of the critic. First, it is assuming that people are inherently good and deserving of a place in heaven and God is simply letting good people go to hell. Second, it is assuming that God’s love is His ultimate, defining characteristic rather than one of many characteristics of who He is. And, third, it’s assuming that God has simply sat idly by while people have gone to hell and hasn’t done anything about it. So, today we are going to attack each one of these assumptions individually to show how unequivocally wrong they actually are.
