As believers in Jesus Christ, we are called to run a good race of faith. And, the Christians in Galatia, who had been running a good race, we see have become endangered by the false teachings on circumcision into no longer running the race as well as they had. So, Paul is addressing that very issue in our passage today and, in doing so, he is giving us some important instructions on how we are to run a good race of faith. Specifically, in order to run a good race, we must understand true freedom, we must understand that being a good person who does good things will never be enough, and we must always stand up and speak out for the truth in all circumstances no matter who we are talking to, no matter how uncomfortable and difficult it may be.
