Galatians 2:11-21 "Crucified With Christ" Rev. Keith T. Reid

One thing the Bible makes absolutely clear is that all of humanity, every person to have ever walked this earth save for Jesus, is sinful, we are all unrighteous, we are all guilty under the Law. And, this is the very same issue that Paul is continuing to address in our passage today...he is telling this story to make two important points: that all men are sinners and that salvation truly is by grace through faith, not by works of the law. And, these two points go hand in hand: The reason why we need to be saved by grace through faith is because we are all sinners in need of a Savior. And, because we are all sinners in need of a Savior, we must be careful not to put any man on a pedestal, we must understand why faith in Christ is necessary and exclusive, and we must understand what it means to be “crucified with Christ.” So, let’s walk through this story together and then consider each of these points that we can draw from it.
