No matter what metric you want to look at, it is painfully obvious that we live in a broken and sinful world, a broken and sinful culture. That’s one of the biggest reasons that so many churches have been studying the book of Daniel over the last few years, because it is a source to teach us how to live confidently faithful lives even in a culture that is so far away from God. And, that message is as prevalent in our passage today as any other in the book.
