Daniel 1:1-7 "Stranger In A Strange Land"

This week, we are starting a new sermon series in Daniel. And, just like the Jews during the time of Daniel, we Christians are strangers living in a strange land. This world is not our home. Our home is in the Kingdom of God; but, we are still called and created to live here for a time. So, our passage today teaches us that, because this world is not our home, we must remember that God is always in control, we must remember that we are strangers in a strange land and not be tempted to conform to the identity of the world, and we must remember God’s faithfulness.
