3 John "In Times Of Conflict"

Before we dive into 3 John, we need to understand that it is a personal correspondence written by John to his friend Gaius addressing specific issues that were taking place in the church under John’s care that Gaius was a part of. Because of this, we need to be careful when applying this letter to our present life and church when that wasn’t what John originally intended. So, instead of trying to find some overarching Biblical rule and law for believers in the church of all ages in this letter, we are better suited to look at it as being exemplary of how to handle conflicts within the church and amongst believers.
