Matthew 6:19-34 "What Do You Really Trust? Rev. Keith T. Reid

In this passage of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus is asking His audience, and all of us reading throughout the ages, “What do you really trust?” Jesus is highlighting the fact that too many people place their trust in wealth and possessions, too many people only seek to serve themselves, too many people worry and fear what tomorrow holds. And, He adds, all of this is futile, that trusting in God at all times and in all things is the only thing that will truly bring comfort and security. So, that’s what we’re going to be talking about today…what it means to trust in God. Specifically, we’re going to talk about how, to truly trust in God in all things, we must make Him our main priority, we must serve Him above all else, and we must not worry but lean on Him.
