Believers are called to be Christ's representative's in the world; but, unfortunately, there are too many people who claim to be Christians who aren’t always great representatives of Christ. There are too many Christians who claim faith in Jesus but still live, act, and think like the rest of the world; who claim to be Christians and never share their faith with anyone; too many people who claim to be Christians who aren’t truly righteous in the way that Scripture calls us to be righteous. And, those are the issues that Jesus is addressing in this passage...when He talks about salt, light, and the Law, He is talking about living our lives in such a way as to be His true representatives in the world.
