Being born into this broken and sinful world, we are all in bondage spiritually, we are all slaves to sin. However, when we put our trust and our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are freed from the bondage and given a new, free life in Him. That’s what we see in the writings of Paul, that’s what we see in our passage today…the Gospel of Jesus Christ truly is the Gospel of freedom; and, trust me we all need the Gospel of freedom! As such, we must remember and teach that salvation is by grace through faith alone, we must be careful not to add any requirements to the salvation plan, and we must strive to work together in the spreading of the Gospel So, let’s take a look at this passage and see what’s going on in Paul’s world in it.
