What do both the angel and Jesus tell the women who first witnessed the resurrection? They say, “Do not be afraid.” These are important words for us to remember, “Do not be afraid;” because this world is full of things that can make us afraid, that can cause us to tremble, or even run away in fear. But, I think a very important part of the Easter story is Jesus reminding His followers not to be afraid, not to give into fear. So, let’s take a closer look at our passage and then think about what it teaches regarding living our lives free of fear.
