Matthew 25:31-46 "The Sheep And The Goats"

Too often, we get caught up in what we have going on in our own lives, we can become preoccupied with ourselves and our families, which can lead us into a lack of concern and generosity toward others. But, in this passage, Jesus is telling us that we can’t do that; He is telling us that true faith, saving faith, MUST be accompanied by looking after, and providing for, even the “least of these.” True, genuine faith is a faith that produces fruit, that produces good works. We cannot have the Holy Spirit inside of us and not have the desire to serve God through doing good works in His name. That’s the point that Jesus is making here. So, let’s take a look at this passage and then focus on the two major things that we need to take away from it; namely that Jesus Christ is the Judge and that we must make sure that we are the sheep and not the goats.
