Specifically, the passage teaches us that, in order to make sure that we are giving of ourselves to God properly, we must consider giving a privilege, we must excel in giving as a spiritual discipline, and we must give willingly. If we do these things, we can make sure that our gift, whether money, time, or talent, is pleasing to God.
